2026 Town Meeting on Monday, April 6th, 6pm Town Hall
Below are descriptions of four articles sponsored by the Open Space Committee, the Conservation Commission and others in Provincetown that the PCT fully supports and encourages voters to vote YES on April 6th at Town Meeting. ARTICLE 10
The PCT supports Article 10 which authorizes the Select Board to acquire the parcel at 43 Atkins Mayor Road for conservation and passive recreation purchases. The parcel abuts the Old Colony Nature Pathway and other conservation areas.
ARTICLE 14 (E&F)
The PCT supports Article 14 (E&F) which approves recommendation from the Community Preservation Committee in appropriating $155K of CPA funds for the purpose of acquiring 43 Atkins Mayo Road and $10K for replacing the shed at B Street Community Garden.
article 19 (3)
The PCT supports Article 19 section 3 which appropriates available funds to help with assessment of East End expansion of the Old Colony Nature Pathway to the Truro border as well as trail improvements and connectivity to conservation areas in the West End.
ARTICLE 29
The PCT supports Article 29 which would highlight the importance of managing existing invasive species and help prevent new instances if invasive species by giving the town direction to provide information on invasive species identification, proliferation, best practices for management, and to encourage the planting of native species.
