NATURE WALK: Ecosystem of the Old Colony Nature Pathway with Dennis Minsky

  • Old Colony Nature Pathway 59 Howland Street Provincetown, MA United States (map)

Join Provincetown Conservation Trust President William Mullin and Naturalist Dennis Minsky for a walk on the Old Colony Nature Pathway with exploration of Whistle Path Woods, Fox Run and the Dwyer Family Woodlands.

Dennis will lead us through the brilliant and diverse fauna and flora of these areas. We will explore nature in action as spring returns to Provincetown. View and learn about rare migratory birds, blooming swamp azaleas, and the special Atlantic White Cedar Swamp at Fox Run.

Our walk begins at the Old Colony Nature Pathway trail head (entrance on Howland Street) and culminates at the end of the trail on Snail Road.

A life-long student of nature, Dennis Minsky has worked for the Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch since 1995, and has also been associated with the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, and for many years with the Cape Cod National Seashore, in various capacities. He was the chair of Provincetown’s Conservation Commission for twelve years and is currently the chair of the Town’s Open Space Committee
